To install your Boat Seat Release

1. The Boat Seat Release is designed for both the 2" & 2-3/8" pedestals from Springfield (Taper Lock) & Swivl-Eze (Wedge).
2. Assemble the split collar (1) (2) around the seat pedestal (3) by using the 1/4" nuts (4) & bolts (5) provided.
3. Tighten the fasteners (4) (5) evenly; leaving it loose enough to position it square against the lock (6).
4. Slide it up or down on the pedestal (3) so the wheels are touching the base (8) and the back of the pedal is touching the lock (6) at the same time.
5. Finish tightening the fasteners, the Boat Seat Release is now ready to use.
6. Hint: If it is not removing the seat smoothly, minor up or down adjustment may be required.
7. Optional bushing set (10) is provided for the 2" pedestals. Bushings installed flange up.
8. Trick, When removing the seat keep your foot on the pedal and lift the seat at the same time. Otherwise the lock can re-engage.

Now you can remove your seat with one simple push!
